If you’re addicted to heroin or opioid painkillers, it’s likely that your addiction started because you were in tremendous pain. By now, we’re sure you know that opioid addiction is dangerous, often deadly, and is a growing epidemic around the world.

The question is, did you know that medical marijuana is 100% natural and is safe for treating pain? It’s also a great way to reduce your dependence on opioids.

In fact, according to scientific studies, not only is medical cannabis less risky than opioid painkillers for managing pain, but it has been shown to be quite effective in helping people who want to kick their opioid addiction.

A public policy professor at the University of Georgia said opioid medications are far more addictive than medical marijuana.  Further while opioid painkillers and heroin pose a tremendous mortality risk, he said,  medical cannabis does not.
